Insulation that does not change your home’s appearance

A contact insulation system adds 10–20 cm to the facade: gutters must be extended, water flashings changed, window frames enlarged… and mouldings disappear under the insulation. THERMOSHIELD NANO PLATINUM FACADE solves that problem: its coat of 3–4 mm precisely copies cornices, reveals and textured facades. Your home looks the same — just no longer loses heat.

How it works

The ceramic nanoparticles form, when dry, a continuous heat-reflective layer that returns up to 93 % of the thermal radiation to the wall and the heated space. In summer the mechanism works in reverse: the white reflective surface bounces solar radiation back before it heats the facade and reduces cooling costs. Product compliant with EN ISO 13786 standard.

A facade that endures

The cured structure is extraordinarily hard: it resists hail, bird pecking and rodent damage — exactly the damage that forces repairs on soft insulation board systems. The facade maintains its integrity year after year.

Breathable — ideal also for heritage buildings

Fully permeable to water vapour: the wall breathes and moisture is not trapped under the surface. That is why it is suitable for stone walls and composite masonry, where a sealed system would do more harm than good. Requirement: the wall must be dry — the plaster solves thermal losses and condensation, not capillary rising damp.

Where it works best

Historic and listed buildings with textured facades. Stone and composite walls. Buildings where you cannot extend the structure to the plot boundary. Industrial buildings and metal or timber constructions. Facades with thermal bridges at door and window jambs and lintels.

Key properties

  • Reflects up to 93 % of thermal radiation
  • Coat of 3–4 mm — does not increase construction thickness
  • Preserves cornices, mouldings and architectural details
  • No need to extend gutters or change water flashings
  • In summer reduces overheating and cooling costs
  • Extraordinarily hard surface — resists hail, birds and rodents
  • Fully breathable, suitable for stone and composite walls
  • Prevents mould, algae and condensation
  • Bonds to masonry, concrete, OSB, wood, metal and sheet metal

Thermal radiation reflected up to 93 %
Thickness of a single coat 3–4 mm
Number of coats 1 (usually sufficient), max. 3
Container 18 kg
Coverage approx. 1 kg/m² per coat (one container ≈ 18 m²)
Colour white

Standard EN ISO 13786
Use exterior — facades, walls and soffits

Application in 5 steps

  1. Prepare the substrate: level, cohesive and dry; remove loose paint, dust, algae and moss.
  2. Mix the contents of the container with a mixer at low speed until homogeneous.
  3. Spread with a stainless steel notched trowel in a coat of 3–4 mm.
  4. Smooth with a rubber float. One coat usually suffices.
  5. Protect during curing: do not apply in rain, frost or intense direct sunlight.
